ANATOLE OCCIDENS (ah-nuh-TOH-lay oht-chee-dens) is an Apostolic Creative Studio crafting media, apparel, and sacramentals. We belong to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

At AO, we hold onto the truth that the Christianity of antiquity was united, both East and West. Anatole (ἀνατολή), Greek for “sunrise” or “the East,” Occidens, Latin for “sunset” or “the West.” Together, Anatole Occidens lives in the sacred harmony of two lungs breathing the same Spirit, each with its own emphasis and beauty.

As St. Paul writes, “The eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I have no need of you,’ nor again the head to the feet, ‘I have no need of you’” (1 Cor. 12:21). We believe the same is true of East and West: neither can dismiss the other; both are needed for the Church to breathe fully.

From this conviction, we create at the meeting place of the ancient and the now, drawing deeply from both traditions to honor them in unity. Rooted in the life of the early Church and expressed through contemporary forms, AO looks forward without letting go of antiquity. Our work exists to reignite wonder, reclaim beauty, and restore sacred meaning in a disenchanted age. Above all, we exist to give glory to God.
